Former AP student now teaching AP Calculus AB and BC. I studied mechanical engineering and use a lot of real exam-style problems in lessons, so students get used to tricky FRQs early. Most of my students are from American-curriculum schools in the UAE aiming for 4s and 5s, and I like to keep sessions very problem-focused rather than lecturing, with clear homework between lessons. Parents usually notice that homework and quiz marks start to lift after a few weeks.

I’m a biology and chemistry teacher in Abu Dhabi with experience teaching AP Biology alongside regular high school science classes. I help students tidy up lab reports, understand experimental design, and revise difficult topics like cell signalling, enzymes, and genetics. My favourite topics to teach are ecology, human physiology, and evolution, as they connect well to what students see around them in the Gulf. Literature has always been my thing, so I focus on AP English Literature for UAE students taking the American curriculum. I enjoy digging into poetry and modern drama with students who think they ‘don’t get’ literature or feel stuck at a certain grade. We spend time on close reading, learning how to notice details in language and turn those into focused, exam-style paragraphs under time pressure. We also talk about exam timing and planning answers sensibly.

I’m a maths and physics tutor in Abu Dhabi and often take on students for both AP Calculus AB and AP Physics 1. Many of them are engineers in the making who just need someone to walk through the hard bits slowly and check each line of working.
